This is a Vintage 1926 Waller Door Mortising Tool which came out of a rural Pennsylvania estate and it is in good looking and in working condition. It was made by the Waller Tool Company of Chicago, Illinois and it is for forming mortises in doors and the like for the reception of hinge leaves. It was patented in 1926 and is described in detail on the Google patents site. It measures 6"x8"x17-1/2" and weighs 5 pounds.
